SPAR Group's mission was to install and stock "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" point-of-purchase video displays in 2,115 Kmart's, starting at the official street release time, in order to make available VHS and DVD units for what was to become the largest Kmart release of the fourth quarter. The effort became the fastest display set-up across a national chain in history.

Starting at midnight on Nov. 20 SPAR fully-set 75 percent of select Kmart stores nationwide before noon - in less than eight working hours per time zone. By the end of the 24-hour period, 99 percent of all stores had been set.
