SPEEDS PRODUCT RESETS - MMR Mass Market Retailer March

Tarrytown, N.Y. --- In partnership with Gladson Interactive, SPAR
Group is introducing a new merchandising system that it claims cuts the time
required for product resets by more than 30% while improving compliance.
The
system replaces paper planograms with image strips showing each product in
color as well as the brand name, size, bar code and the number of facings.
Store associates or third-party merchandisers tape strips to the bottom of a
shelf strip. Back tags also contain similar product photos and information and
additionally show exact peg positions.
According
to SPAR, the system allows fast, accurate resets even by trainees or associates
lacking English-language skills. The product images are provided by Gladson
Interactive, which claims to have the most comprehensive product photo database
with 500,000 SKU images. SPAR Group has tested the strips and back tags in a
number of national chains over the last six months.
